The Agribusiness Star Program serves to get students out of the classroom to immerse them in experiences that showcase the huge variety of opportunities the agriculture sector offers – in the fields, farms, laboratories, science, technology and business. AgStars is a diverse and inclusive team with a unique identity and character. Exclusive experiences include going on excursions, attending industry events, hosting guest speakers and representing Loganlea State High School at public events. Students maintain their eligibility for the program by consistently demonstrating high levels of effort in learning, attendance and conduct, and by excelling in Star program expectations.
AgStars is open to all students in years 7-12. Students play a vital role in the operation and maintenance of the school's farm, nursery and facilities, and in building the Agribusiness Star Program's reputation for excellence. AgStars become highly trained, trusted and informed assistants within the school's pig, poultry, sheep, crop and cattle operations. Students also have the opportunity to develop their own special interest agricultural projects.
