When students apply their knowledge of practical skills and processes combining the use of technologies innovative solutions to completing real world Industrial projects. Students work independently and collaboratively to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills to respond creatively to current and future needs.
The practical nature of the Industrial Technologies learning area engages students in critical and creative thinking, including understanding interrelationships in systems when solving complex problems. A systematic approach to experimentation, problem-solving, prototyping and evaluation instils in students the value of planning and reviewing processes to realise ideas. Students complete projects that are relevant to the society we live, which enables the student to develop real world skills that can benefit them in their future pathways.
