Students at Loganlea State High School are able to access the state of the art Hospitality Trade Training Centre. Our Trade Training Centre was completed in 2012 and boasts an industry standard kitchen, dining room and beverage/bar area. Hospitality students are able to complete a number of Vocational Educational Training (VET) certificates for both Front and Back of House areas including a certificate II in Kitchen Operations and Certificate II in Hospitality. As a part of all our courses students participate in a number of in-house functions, including high teas, family restaurant dinners, and catering for school events such as the sports award breakfast and BEACON breakfasts. Hospitality department students also participate in work placement, which they complete in restaurants and cafes in the local area honing and putting into practice their skills that they have learnt at school. Graduating students from the hospitality department are work ready and have the qualifications necessary to enable them to gain positions in the Hospitality sector, many of our past students have gone on to have rewarding careers in hospitality working as Chefs, Baristas, Waitresses and Bar Staff.
