Our School

Our beautiful coeducational school is situated on 56 hectares of lush prime river front land. It is a large, centrally located high school in Logan City, with an enrolment of 600, catering for students from Years 7 through to 12 from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Our aim is to provide the best education possible to all students so that they may become active and resilient citizens of the future. We seek to provide a well rounded education with opportunities for intellectual, social and emotional growth over the five vital years of high school.

Our expansive curriculum programs cater for each individual student. The academic program is complemented by sporting, cultural and recreational activities. We recognise that everyone is different, and that it is that difference that enriches our community. We want our students to challenge their minds, release their creativity, and embrace life long learning and growth.

We are privileged to have vibrant and talented staff dedicated to teaching your children. It is with their help, support and guidance that your child will reach their full potential. As a community, we wish to work seamlessly with our families, the students and the school.

We have outstanding facilities that support unique learning experiences unparalleled in other school sites, such as the award-winning Agriculture facility and air conditioned high- tech classrooms. The Connections program for senior phase students, offers many opportunities for personalised learning programs as well as early access to traineeships and apprenticeships. We recognise the talents of all students and provide opportunities for these to be developed.

Loganlea State High Schoool is renowned for its innovative specialist programs including targeted Literacy and Numeracy Enhancement programs affiliated with Griffith University, Dance Performance, Sport Development Access, Knowledge House Nyumba Bugir Anga (indigenous education support) and as the only metropolitan Gateway School of Agribusiness, our students have preferred enrolment opportunities with the University of Queensland Gatton College.

Extensive partnership programs underpin and extend work accomplished in classrooms. Significant corporate and industry partners include Beacon and Ardoch Foundation (literacy and numeracy), Clayton Utz (Legal Studies), Australian Business Community Network (leadership, mentoring). These key partners provide significant opportunities and connections for our students. I encourage you to read through our prospectus and I look forward to being an integral part of your child’s education.
