In 2021, Loganlea SHS is offering a football/futsal excellence program. This program strives to be a diverse and unique academy which includes elite training and coaching opportunities for talented male and female footballers. The program operates within the Loganlea Institute of Sport and supports students in their ‘whole football’ development. Academy students are supported through the process of developing into a ‘whole footballer’, allowing the program to support more than just the ‘technical’ aspect of the game. In 2021, it is a program that is offered in curriculum lessons for Year 7 & 8 students. Older students are able to still apply, however this will run as an external co-curricular activity, whereby training would occur before/after school.
In 2022 we aim to grow the program tenfold and offer select classes for Year 7 students and have curriculum classes from years 7 – 9.
