Welcome back to another exciting year of successful learning and growth at Loganlea state high school. I would like to welcome our Year 8s and their families into the school community for 2013. Congratulations on choosing the best school in Logan! I hope you find your first year of high school exciting and rewarding both personally and academically. I know our staff and senior leaders are looking forward to helping you settle in to high school life over the next few weeks.
Welcome also to our new students and families from other year levels. I am sure you will find at Loganlea, a range of opportunities to help you achieve both your learning and personal goals. I look forward to a happy and productive relationship with you as together we make a difference for our students. It was great to see many parents at our first assembly last week. I am sure you will have a wonderful experience being part of our school community. I encourage you all to make early contact with your child’s teachers or Dean of Students to ensure we maximise support for your child. Our goal is to work closely with parents and care-givers to make sure individualised learning happens within the appropriate context for each student in our school.
Welcome to the new staff who have joined us this year. I know they are excited to be a part of such an excellent school and are also keen to work with all our students to achieve success.
Finally welcome back to all staff and students returning from 2012. I hope you too, find 2013 at Loganlea both challenging and rewarding.
