The Year 10, 11 and 12 film and television, media studies and drama students recently had the exciting opportunity to visit the New York film academy on the Gold Coast. Students were taken on a tour of the campus and given the opportunity to speak with one of the lecturers about the importance of story in filmmaking. They got an insight into the exclusive world of Hollywood filmmaking and toured the back lot of the Village Roadshow Studios. Although circumstances on the day prevented us from going inside the Sound Stages students were still able to gain information about a career in the film industry.
