2013 has been a busy year in the Trade training centre. Our certificate II hospitality (kitchen operations) student’s under the guidance of Miss Hobbins have planned and prepared numerous functions throughout the year including the recent sports achievers breakfast, remembrance day morning tea and the year 12 graduation breakfast.
The certificate II hospitality students working with Mrs Burney have set up our ‘camp fire dreaming’ restaurant and served at a variety of functions throughout the year. In addition to the functions named above, the students were involved in setting up the restaurant for an industry skills day luncheon for hospitality teachers conducted by ACATS (The Academy). This was in partnership with the ‘futures with food’ trade training centre. The luncheon was a three course table d’hote menu offering three choices for each course. Students served accompanying non alcoholic sparkling wine to invited industry guests.
Our students did an excellent job and received many positive comments from guests working in the Hospitality industry.
Well done to all hospitality students and teachers working in the trade training centre in 2013.
