The Year 11 english communication students have been studying crime in the media and are about to undertake an assessment task that will see them designing their own criminal investigation television show. The students were fortunate to attend an entertaining presentation put on by our school based police officer, Kelly Humphries, as well as six other officers from the Logan area.
Students were given the opportunity to watch a criminal investigation unfold from the crime scene all the way to the confession. They watched as forensic evidence was collected, an arrest was made, an interrogation was conducted and finally the offender giving a full confession. Students were able to ask informed questions and gained valuable knowledge that they can now use to create their own television shows.
We are all extremely grateful for the time and effort Officer Humphries and her colleagues put into staging the fantastic show for our students.
