Crafternoons
During Term 1 Kapmauri Delights, a Torres Strait Islander weaving group facilitated by Talitha and Maresha Bowie, visited Loganlea state high school to present a workshop to the senior visual art studies students.
 
Students learnt about the Torres Strait Islands and were shown how to create a woven grasshopper, along with other weaving techniques. Students will use the skills in their future artistic practice and all students involved thoroughly enjoyed the workshop.
 
Free Crafternoons continue Wednesday 8th May from 3.00 – 4.30pm in the art block at Loganlea state high school. Metal working, resin, textiles and other media areas will be explored throughout the term. Afternoon tea provided.
