Loganlea State High School was opened in 1981. Student population growth was steady and reached its peak in 1986 with an enrolment of 1153. With the opening of Marsden State High School, Browns Plains State High School, Canterbury College at Waterford, Windaroo Valley State High School and Flagstone, student enrolment has declined. Current increases in population have been caused by the increase in the local Meadowbrook population. In response to fluctuating enrolments and the changing nature of the clientele, Loganlea has responded with a determined effort to develop an inclusive curriculum underpinned by a strong student welfare program.
